CS02 - Surface Treatments and Coatings : implementation and application of the main surface treatments
Inter-company and intra-company courses
New
Educational objectives
To know the different technologies which allow the obtaining of a surface treatment and the conditions in which they are implemented
Understand the main industrial surface treatments
Know the main applications of surface treatments
PROGRAM
1. The different treatment technologies: Operating principle and implementation conditions + examples
Non-electrolytic wet treatments (conversions, chemical deposits): phosphating, conversion of aluminium alloys
Wet electrolytic treatments (electrolytic deposits and anodizing): zinc plating, sulfuric anodizing
Atmospheric dry processing (thermal spray deposition): thermal spraying of oxides
Dry process under controlled atmosphere (standard CVD deposits): chromium plating
Vacuum deposition (PVD, low pressure CVD): TiN, Diamond Like Carbon
Coating (cold dip, hot dip galvanization)
Paints and varnishes: anti-corrosion paints and slip varnishes
2. Standard surface treatment process
Degreasing
Stripping
Neutralization and rinsing
Treatment and post-treatment
