1. The different types of corrosion of steels in functional use

- Introduction to corrosion

- Atmospheric corrosion

- Corrosion by galvanic coupling

- Corrosion by containment

- Pitting corrosion

- Leaf corrosion

- Stress corrosion

- Hydrogen embrittlement

2. Quantify the degradation due to corrosion - Normative tests

- Testing resistance to atmospheric corrosion

- Quantify the degradation due to atmospheric corrosion

- Identify the type of corrosion (White Oxidation, Red Oxidation)

- Quantify and prevent hydrogen embrittlement

- Quantify stress corrosion resistance

3. Protect against corrosion - Solid materials

  • Basic concepts and corrosion resistance of stainless steels

4. Protecting against corrosion - Anti-corrosion surface treatments
