NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING, INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENTS
This technical day took place at Cetim-Cermat in Mulhouse on the theme "NON-DESTRUCTIVE CONTROLS - INNOVATIVE EVOLUTIONS" and was a great success both technically and in terms of participation (62 participants).
The subject was relevant to the new needs in NDT: the need to move to faster and more environmentally friendly means of control; to control in a more generalized way the product in real time in the production flow (development axis of the "Factory of the Future").
Cetim, Cetim-Cermat and the Institut de Soudure in particular presented new innovative means of control developed thanks to the combination of existing techniques and to the progress of digital technology which makes it possible to process enormous quantities of data in a very short time.
Punch Powerglide presented a conclusive feedback on an innovative application, combining Barkausen noise, permeability and magnetic field for the fast measurement of the case depth of gears. There are also good prospects for nitrided layers.
At the end of the day, participants were able to attend demonstrations of new NDT techniques.
Let's note that the section welcomes a new member in the EST-ALSACE office, Farid KHENOUSSI, production manager of the Bodycote factory
in Cernay (68).
