Hydrogen: technological challenges in metallic materials

Hydrogen, the first and smallest element in the classification, is the source of damage in materials, most often by causing brittle fractures. This is due to its high diffusivity in the atomic state and its instability. Application procedures and conditions of use of materials must therefore take into account the risk of contamination and sensitization due to the possible presence of hydrogen.

On October 16 and 17, 2024, teachers-researchers, industrialists from the world of energy, aeronautics, automotive, surface treatment, etc..., will gather at the 2nd edition of these days to follow a rich program of nearly 25 conferences divided into 4 themes:

  • Hydrogen damage in metallic materials

  • Hydrogen metrology

  • Energy and Materials

  • Hydrogen production, storage, transport and use
