This year, the 7th edition of the Pau days will be held, during which several topics will be discussed: dry process technologies allowing to obtain coatings with various properties on various substrates, metallic and non-metallic; thermal spraying which allows to obtain "thick" coatings; PVD/CVD processes as well as their compatibility with the European REACH regulation.
Indeed, materials will be an essential lever to meet the major challenges of the energy transition, eco-efficient industry, the development of emerging economies, medical applications, etc. The functionalization of materials, intended to give them mechanical and/or tribological properties, and the maintenance of these properties over time in demanding conditions of use require the implementation of surface treatments. These surface treatments are based on a wide variety of technologies.
Thus, this day is there to offer a unique opportunity to researchers and industrialists involved in the development and industrial application of these technologies. They will be able to review recent scientific and technological innovations, with a focus on industrial applications, through a program of conferences, mixing academic presentations and industrial testimonies, exchanges and discussions between participants, speakers and exhibitors in a friendly environment. Among the topics covered, particular attention will be paid to the characterization of coatings and the use of thermal spraying for repair.
