MT03 - Heat treatment of additive manufacturing metal parts
Inter-company course
New
Educational objectives
Understand the specificities of heat treatments on metal parts produced by additive manufacturing
Develop heat treatment strategies taking into account: the material, the process and the intended application
PROGRAM
1. Reminders: main additive manufacturing processes for metal parts and specificities of the parts produced
2. Needs and challenges of heat treatments for additive manufacturing of metal alloy parts
Internal stresses, microstructure and defectology.
3. The main types of thermal and thermomechanical treatments for additive manufacturing parts
4. Defects, faults and possible precautions
Deformations, local heterogeneities...
5. Adaptation of heat treatments according to the manufacturing process, the alloy and the intended application.
Typical properties of the parts after heat treatment.
6. Discussion: issues and challenges for innovative heat treatments on parts made by additive manufacturing
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The training is mainly focused on 3 types of alloys: Titanium base, Nickel base and Aluminium base.
To deepen your knowledge, we propose you to create a training course using other modules of the catalog.
