Torbel Industry
The TORBEL Industrie group is a French family business created in 1969 and still managed by the founding family.
The origins of the company date back to the 1940s, when Charles Tordo, an inventive genius, started working in his cellar. He first made hand tools and filed his first patent in 1947.
His son, Louis Tordo, and his son-in-law, Gilbert Belgrano, later joined forces with Charles Tordo to create the current company. The third generation of family managers has taken over, with Laurent Tordo at the head of the group, and has been able to diversify know-how and stimulate innovation.
Since 1987, TORBEL Industrie has become a major player in anti-corrosion surface treatment thanks to its cataphoresis treatment line, whose capacity makes it the largest subcontracting line in France and one of the largest in Europe. Polyester powder coating lines complete the group's expertise, for a complete treatment of parts.
Today the company is strongly established in France with 18 manufacturing and storage sites. 2 foreign subsidiaries, in Switzerland and Italy, ensure a presence in Europe.
