The technical program prepared in common, the diffusion assured to the members and sympathizers of the three organizations allowed to gather about forty persons.

The funding that Maison Innovergne was able to receive from the Auvergne region made it possible to offer a free day.

The debates were opened by a report of the Moulds and Tools days in Albi and the presentation made by Robert Lévèque of the Cercle des Métaux was appreciated.

Then, an overview of the families of tool steels according to their characteristics and their applications was drawn up by Philippe Jacquet, teacher-researcher at Ecam.

Coatings were approached in an original way by 5 companies during a very interactive presentation of the ROOF 2 project: Optimized Coatings for Forging Tools, a joint presentation by users: Aubert et Duval, Amis, equipment manufacturers: ACCI DMA Laser and a laboratory: SPTCS.

Bruno Stauder from Bodycote presented the heat treatment process from the point of view of simulation and calculation as well as ion implantation. Luis Aubertin presented innovative applications at Balzers Oerlikon.

Finally, Mikaël Perret from Cetim closed the day with a presentation on electrochemical precision machining, a recent process in development, alternative to EDM and high speed machining.

A rich and complete day, perhaps a little too dense to allow long exchanges during the buffet prepared by Maison Innovergne.
