CT09 - Guide to the choice of heat treatment for special steels: which processes, which steels and which equipment according to the stresses of the parts
Inter-company and intra-company courses
New
Educational objectives
Know the main stresses on parts, explain the capacities offered by the heat and thermochemical treatment processes, present the steels adapted to these processes and the appropriate equipment by addressing the environmental aspect.
PROGRAM
The main mechanical stresses
Basic reminders (transformations and TRC diagrams)
Heating, gases and atmospheres
Vacuum heating (origin, obtaining and measuring vacuum, specificities of vacuum ovens)
Hardening in the mass: fluids and gases used
The control of deformations with gas quenching
Thermochemical treatments of carburizing, nitriding and their derivatives
Surface hardening (the specificity of rapid heating on the characteristics of the layers obtained, inductive heating, inductors, hardening taps...)
Furnaces and machines adapted to these processes (air, atmosphere, vacuum furnaces)
The integration of the heat treatment in the machining line
Contribution to the establishment of a matrix of choice Process/steel/equipment according to the characteristics sought for the mechanical parts.
