Provide knowledge on anodizing treatments of aluminum alloys in compliance with REACH regulations

PROGRAM

1. Reminders on the different types of aluminium alloys concerned and their treatment problems according to the applications

  • Surface preparation by degreasing, chemical and mechanical stripping

  • Principle of anodizing

  • Characteristics of chromic anodized coatings

  • Finishing treatments (Staining - Sealing - Painting)

  • Anodizing treatments intended to replace chromic anodizing (OAST - OAS - OAP)

2. Production of test specimens with OAx anodization

  • Characterization of the treatment carried out (Aspect - Thickness - Sealing).
