HK 2026: Four conferences, one global meeting place for heat treatment
From October 13 to 15, 2026, Koelnmesse in Cologne will host the 82nd HeatTreatmentCongress (HK), the 31st IFHTSE World Congress, the European Conference on Heat Treatment (ECHT), and Steel Innovation 2026, all under one roof.
Over the course of three days, more than 100 speakers from universities, research institutes, and industry around the world will present their latest work on thermochemical processing, quenching and distortion, AI and digitalization, simulation and modeling, additive manufacturing, sustainability, and surface engineering. The program also features the IFHTSE Medal and Adolf-Martens-Medal award lectures, a plenary discussion on AI in materials science, a poster session, the conference dinner, and a large international exhibition at the heart of the event.
